The Ecological University of Bucharest, founded on the 4th of April 1990, is the first private institution of higher education in Romania and the only university with an ecological profile.

In over 28 years of existence, approximately 40.000 students completed the courses of the university and graduated, becoming reputable specialists in various fields, both in the country and abroad.

The Ecological University of Bucharest was founded under the patronage of the prestigious Society of the Romanian Atheneum, which was founded in 1865, and currently operates according to Law no. 282/2003.
